1 Corinthians 11

1

Be ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Anointed.

2

Now I praise you that in all things ye remember me, and as I delivered to you, the traditions ye hold fast.

3

Now I want you to know, that the head of every man is Anointed; now the head of the woman, the man; now the head of Anointed, God.

4

Every man praying or prophesying, having anything at his head, dishonoreth his head.

5

Now every woman praying or prophesying with uncovered head, dishonoreth her head; for it is one and the same with having been shaven.

6

For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn: now if it is shameful to a woman to be shorn or to be shaven, let her be covered.

7

For a man truly ought not to cover his head, being the image and glory of God: the woman, now, is the glory of man.

8

For man is not of woman; but woman of man:

9

for neither was man created by cause of woman; but woman by cause of the man:

10

by cause of this ought the woman to have authority on her head, by cause of the angels.

11

Nevertheless, neither is woman apart from man, nor man apart from woman, in the Lord.

12

Just as the woman is of the man, so also is the man by cause of the woman; now all things are of God.

13

In ye yourselves judge: is it seemly that a woman uncovered pray unto God?

14

Doth not even nature itself teach you, that a man, truly, if he have locks, it is a dishonor to him?

15

Now a woman, if she have locks, it is a glory to her: for her locks are given her for a mantle.

16

If now anyone thinketh to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor the congregations of God.
